Covered material includes properly cutting knits, reinforcing with elastic or interfacing, and sewing knits on a home machine using straight stitches, zig zags and specialty overlock and stretch stitches, as well as using a serger.

The perfect way to start sewing -- or to get back into it! Gain confidence with the machine, new fabrics, techniques and applications! Learn to use the machine, sew zippers, buttons, buttonholes, casings, darts, bags, pouches, and handsewing -- and wrap it all up by altering your own clothes in the fourth class!

This is an excellent hands-on class for beginning and intermediate soap makers, focusing on cold-process recipes featuring beeswax, clays and natural fragrances.

All materials are supplied--you bring protective eyewear, an apron (or wear old clothes), and a towel to insulate your very own soap mold (supplied) containing the equivalent of 4 round bars of soap.

Makin’ It with Destination DIY is a FREE event in partnership with ADX and SCRAP

Treat your ears to unreleased snippets of Destination DIY and music selections courtesy of DJs Lindsie Feathers and Tobias. Please bring your knitting, sketch book, arduino circuit board, zine stapler, Bedazzler, collage materials or whatever else you’re working on.

There will be FREE food & Lagunitas beer

“Makin’ It with Destination DIY” is a project night and listening party. Treat your ears to unreleased snippets of Destination DIY — some stuff that’s not even on the podcast yet! Please bring your knitting, sketch book, arduino circuit board, zine stapler, Bedazzler, collage materials or whatever else you’re working on.

There will be FREE beer and food

And if you don’t have a portable project handy — never fear! — SCRAP will have materials and inspiration on hand.

If you’ve been afraid to try wire work before, or if you’ve tried and things just don’t look quite right, this is the class for you! You will learn the basic tools and techniques required for quality wire work.

This class is designed for beading beginners. You’ll learn stringing, finishing, and design techniques for completing necklaces and bracelets. There will be discussion about stringing, Softflex* finishing, and clasp choice.

All supplies are provided for completing one bracelet in class!

If you already own tools or want to use your own beads, please bring them in!
