Learn different techniques to attach zippers, buttons and create button holes.

This class is for people who know the basics but are looking to expand their skill set. We’ll cover a bit of pleating, a single buttonhole, and how to construct and install lining.

Come in and sew with other stitchers in our community. Bring your own project and any questions you may have.

Breedom Public Sewing House will provide the machines (but feel free to bring your own if you’d like), tools, and work space!

There will be someone there to help you through your project if you need it but this is a great opportunity to learn from others.

For the hand sewers, cross stitchers, knitters, and crochters… we’ve got a great back patio to sit out on and enjoy the sunshine.

Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks you’d like.

Good Day Oregon Segment: Make a Tie

This is an intermediate class that will teach you how to use a pattern, cut fabric on the bias, work with interfacing, and an invaluable hand stitch. At the end of this class, you will leave with the most important staple accessory in any man’s closet. What a great Christmas present for your boyfriend, husband, or dad!

In this class you’ll learn 5 different hand sewing stitches! We’ll discuss types of thread, the importance of a thimble, and how to tie a knot with just two fingers! Machine stitching is a necessity if you’re making your own clothes but for finishing work, you’re going to need some handstitching. This class will teach you how to rock out with a needle and thread!

Supplies provided by Breedom Public Sewing House. (feel free to bring a thimble if you’d like)

-WIRE-WRAPPED RINGS-

Thursday December 8th · 6 - 8:30 pm

Create wire-wrapped rings using a mandrel and easy wire wrapping techniques to "nest" a single bead in the bezel of the ring. You'll leave this class with a handful of rings - as many as you can create in 2 & 1/2 hours. Materials will be provided but if you have beads or stones you'd like to make into a ring, bring them to class.

Beginners are welcome.

$40 - Includes beads, tools, supplies (and wine and appetizers!).

-WIRE WRAPPING TECHNIQUES-

Learn the basics of wire wrapping techniques, such as the coiled loop. If you've come to my classes before, brush up on your skills or expand your wire working techniques with the herringbone wrap. You'll leave this class with as many pieces of jewelry that you can create in 2 & 1/2 hours - earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and even tree or wine bottle ornaments.
